Speed boat trips are quite popular in Kotor as one of the ideal opportunities for a short exploration of the bay from the sea for guests who stay a few days in Kotor or even a few hours like cruise ship guests. Boka Bay has spectacular scenery, and there are several opportunities to explore it. One option is going all around by car and visiting the most popular places as we do on our Kotor Boka Bay Tour, or sailing and slowly exploring the bay as we do on our Sailing Boat Tours, or you can do it fast in only 3/5 hours taking by speed boat. The main highlight of the speed boat tour is visiting the Blue Cave. You will be able to visit or swim in the cave for just one hour of the speed boat ride from Kotor because reaching it by car is not possible. The Blue Cave is located at the very entrance of the Boka Bay on peninsula Lustica (open sea), across peninsula Prevlaka in Croatia. WHEN AND WHERE WILL WE START?

We will start in front of the tourist info kiosk (next to the Main or Sea Gate in the old town) at 8:45, 11:45, and 14:45. The boats are located in the Port of Kotor, just 70 meters away from the meeting point. Skippers will come to the meeting point and board the guests to the boats.

NOTE: The temperature in the summer season can be very high, above 40 degrees, so pay attention to protect your body with adequate clothes, skin with sun cream, and head with a hat. Always have enough water.

WHERE WE WILL GO?

After boarding, we will see Kotor Bay, Risan Bay, Verige Gate, Tivat Bay, Herceg Novi Bay, Mamula Island, The Blue Cave, The Submarine Tunnel, and The Lady of the Rock.

WHAT WILL YOU GET?

WHAT EXACTLY THIS TOUR LOOKS LIKE?

This is not a guided tour. The skipper will tell you basic information about the places that you will visit and the speed ride will start, with an average speed of 25 nautical miles per hour (around 40 km per hour). We will start from the port of Kotor 3 times per day: 9:00 am, 12:00 (noon), and 15:00 (3 pm), and go toward Verige, the exit/entrance of Kotor Bay. That ride lasts 20 minutes and guests will see from the left side of the bay Bokelian places Muo, Prcanj, and Stoliv, and on the right side of the bay places Dobrota, Ljuta, Orahovac, and Perast.

All those places make up the municipality of Kotor. The line of traditional stone houses with small docks decorated with camellia, and oleander flowers, with green and brown shutters, are strung in between picturesque lighthouses and baroque churches. Mountains Lovcen, Vrmac, and Orjen frame the scenery. Whatever you look at is full of the absolute beauty of celebrating harmony between people and nature. Like a scene from some historical movie, miles far away from artificial cities and modern life, Kotor Bay leaves you breathless. Take your camera and just try to catch some of that beauty.

After we will pass Verige, the narrowest part of the bay we will enter another part of Boka Bay. From the left side, we will see Tivat Bay and its super modern marina Porto Montenegro with numerous yachts and we will see the island St. Marko, the biggest island in Boka Bay.

On the right side, we will see Herceg Novi Bay with its very attractive luxury and brand new marina Porto Novi, and the city Herceg Novi, which is the biggest city in the Bay of Boka. Our route will be at equal distances from both parts of the bay. Within 20 minutes of the ride, we will be on the main exit/entrance of the whole Bay of Boka near Herceg Novi and very close to Croatia.

There, we will see the island of Mamula, an ex-prison from the 19th century that is transformed into a luxury hotel. We will make a panoramic ride close to the island and continue to the Blue Cave. We need 10 more minutes to go there. On the right side, you will see the peninsula Prevlaka with the Fort of Prevlaka on the Croatian side of the bay entrance.

The Blue Cave is not easily visible and is approached from a hidden entrance. The cave is big enough for a few speed boats at the same time. Guests will be able to swim and enjoy glittering blue reflections which make the whole cave so special. Some boats play music or even have a DJ, so guests shouldn't be surprised if the cave looks like a party zone for a short time, especially in the summer season:)

We will be here for up to 30 minutes. After swimming and refreshing in the Blue Cave we will head back, but this time much closer to the village Rose on Peninsula Lustica to be able to get in a submarine tunnel. Peninsula has several submarine tunnels, which are no longer used but they are attractive to visit.

The visit to the tunnels lasts 10 minutes and after that, we are going to the Lady of the Rock, the most attractive island in Kotor Bay. Guests will be able to visit this man-made island with the lovely baroque church from the 17th century as well as a small church museum with artifacts from Roman imperial up to nowadays.

Artifacts show very unique silver plates given to the church by local people for centuries, as well as utensils, household items, navigation instruments, weapons, handmade embroidery, and paintings. Also, guests will have enough time to take wonderful photos of every corner of the island. After visiting Lady of the Rock, we will go back to the port of Kotor.

NOTE: In the very case of the large waves on the high seas that make it impossible to reach the blue cave, guests will visit Perast near the island of Lady of the Rocks.

TOUR CONDITIONS

The tour is organized by middle-class speed boats. The price of the private tour is per boat, not per person. The private tour costs 240 euros (maximum 6 people on the boat)

We give a discount for groups of more than 10 people. Private tours can depart any day.

Be aware that in the summer season, the sun can be very intense, so take care of your skin and health. During the speedboat ride, it is not recommended to walk on the boat. Boats are fully protected for a safe ride, according to the law. All skippers are licensed.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION
Montenegro Hostel Travel Agency (hereinafter called 'the Agency'), guarantees the authenticity of the displayed visual and written data related to the accommodation unit characteristics in its offer available at www.montenegrohostel.com as well as the authenticity of the conditions of the same offer. By taking one or more offers of the Agency the client enters a legal relationship with Montenegro Hostel Travel and confirms that he/she accepts the General Terms And Conditions of Accommodation Reservation Service (hereinafter called 'General Conditions'), which are presented here. All the details stated in the offer represent the legal obligation of the client as well as the Agency. The General Conditions represent the basis for the settlement of any possible dispute that may arise between the client and the Agency. The client is advised to read the General Conditions carefully before any advance payment.

1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Purchasing tickets for tours is possible electronically by completing the online form on our site. Reservations are only possible by paying the entire amount on our website before departure. After we receive the entire amount we will send you the confirmation of reservation and the voucher that consists of the details of the relevant arrangements (details of the host, guest details, date of arrival and departure, and also other services that the guest has paid).
The payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Master...), (the agency bears the bank charges).
By making the payment of the reservation the client certifies that he/she is completely familiarized with all the details and conditions under which the reservation of the accommodation service is provided. By making the payment all the conditions and terms specified in this contract become a legal obligation for both the client and the Agency.

2. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY CLIENT

The client is entitled to a change of a confirmed reservation only if the change is accepted by the service provider. The changes may include booked transfer, tour, excursion or activity, number of persons, their age, and type of basic or extra services booked. The request for a change of the reservation must be submitted in a written form by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

If the client wants to cancel the reservation, the client must submit the request in written form by e-mail.

Online purchased tour tickets are possible to cancel free of charge up to 3 days before departure, only in the case that the tour is still not confirmed and the money funds are only authorized, not fully charged.

If the minimum group is reached after the booking, when the customer automatically gets the online ticket and the ticket is fully charged, then the cancelation is not 100% free of charge. The cancelation fee costs 10% of the card ticket and 90% of the ticket amount will be returned to the customer's card. This cancelation is possible to do any time from the moment of booking up to 3 days before departure.

For a cancellation occurring from 3 to 0 days before the start of using the reserved service, MH Travel charges 100% of the total price of the tour ticket booked.

3. AGENCY’S OBLIGATIONS

The Agency is responsible for the transportation services and selection of the service providers and is concerned about the rights and interests of the client following good tourism practices.
The Agency is responsible for ensuring that the client receives all the services he/she has booked and is therefore liable to the client for a possible non-provision of the services or a part of the services the client paid for.
The Agency is not responsible if the non-provision of the service is due to a case of force majeure in the client's country or in the country where the service is to be provided (war, riots, strikes, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, official authority interventions, etc.). The Agency has the right to cancel the tour in the case of unpredictable situations, that cannot be controlled by an agency (earthquakes, floods, closing borders, etc). In that case, the Agency will refund the full amount of the transfer tickets to the guests.

Every tour has to have a minimum number of passengers (10 in total) to be organized. The agency charges booking amounts for transfers, tours, and activities ONLY after the minimum number of passengers is reached and the transfer, tour, or activity is confirmed by e-mail.

The Agency has the right to cancel transfer, tour, and activity up to 720 minutes (12 hours) before departure if the minimum of participants is not reached.

Cancellation by the Agency is free of charge.

4. CLIENT’S OBLIGATIONS

The clients are under obligation to possess valid travel documents. The costs of loss of these documents are borne by the client. The client needs to check whether he/she needs a visa to enter Montenegro or transit countries. The Agency cannot provide the service of obtaining a visa for the client and reserves the right to keep the amount paid for the transfer if the client cannot enter Montenegro because the necessary documents were not obtained by the client.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. of all the relevant facts that can affect the client's presence at the reserved transfer, tour, excursion, or activity (e.g. allergies and illness of the client, physical disability of the client, coming by vehicle, special diet conditions, and extra luggage).

5. TRAVEL INSURANCE
The cost of the trip does not include the travel insurance 'package': insurance against accidents and illnesses that may occur during the trip, damage or loss of luggage, or voluntary health insurance. When confirming the reservation online, the Traveler has to accept these General Terms and Conditions by selecting a payment method and completing the reservation confirmation process. The same applies to reservations confirmed and completed via e-mail. Should the Traveler request additional insurance, arrangements can be made directly with the insurance company or at MH Travel itself wherein the Agency acts only as a mediator.

6. COMPLAINS
The client reserves the right to complain in case of any incorrect photographs and information published on the site. The client is not entitled to complain about any other grounds, including bad weather conditions, traffic jams, or any other similar situation or event that may cause the client's dissatisfaction and is not to the quality of the reserved transfer service. Any justified complaint about deficiencies will be resolved on the spot. If the service provider is not able to resolve the reported deficiencies, and the Agency cannot propose any alternative transfer/shuttle, the client will get a full refund of the amount paid.

7. ARBITRATION
If the guest is not satisfied with the solution offered by the agency he/she has a right to take the issue to the court jurisdiction of Podgorica.

8. NOTICE
By making the advance payment or paying the entire arrangement amount the guest accepts these general terms and conditions.
