Montenegro Hostel Travel Agency invites you to join our exclusive sunset boat tour from the old town of Budva to The Krekavica Cave at the location of the Platamuni Nature Park. Due to overwhelming demand, we have curated a unique sunset experience in a breathtakingly beautiful setting. Although Park Platamuni belongs to the municipality of Kotor, it is much closer to Budva and can be reached in only half an hour by boat. It is a hidden gem of the Montenegrin coast where you will see red cliffs, beaches, coves, and Krekavica Cave where we will enjoy the sunset. But the highlight of our tour will be St. Nicola Church, one the smallest churches in the world, located at 20 meters high rocky cliff. Our carefully chosen route will take you on a relaxing boat ride with music, offering an unforgettable experience of the stunning Platamuni area. Welcome!
WHEN AND WHERE WILL WE START?
We will meet in front of the Old Town of Budva, next to the Port, at the scheduled time listed on our website. Please note that the departure time changes every 10 days.
NOTE:The temperature in the summer season can be very high, so pay attention to protecting your body with adequate clothes, skin with sun cream, and head with a hat. Always have enough water.
WHERE WE WILL GO?
After boarding, we will see Mogren and Jaz Beach, Trsteno Bay, Ploce Beach, Platamuni Park of Nature, The St. Nicola Church on the cliff, and Krekavica Cave (the sunset point).
WHAT WILL YOU GET?
For our sunset boat rides, we will use popular Pasara tourist boats. These boats can be either wooden or made of fiberglass. The smallest boats, measuring 3 to 4 meters long, have no decks, while the larger ones, measuring 5 to 6 meters long, are partially decked (usually the front third of the boat). The smallest group size is up to 6 persons, the middle size is up to 11 persons, and for larger groups, we will use bigger tourist boats with a maximum capacity of 40 guests will be provided.
WHAT THIS TOUR LOOKS LIKE?
This is not a guided tour. The skipper will provide you with basic information about the places you will see. We will start our journey slowly from the Port of Budva, driving around the old town, passing Mogren Beach and the attractive cliffs towards Jaz Beach. Numerous small caves are among the cliffs, a pure paradise for those who love snorkeling.
On the other side, you will have a fantastic view of the island of St. Nicholas, with its rocks and hidden beaches. This is the largest island in Montenegro, named after the small 16th-century Catholic church located on it. In this part of the drive, the sea is often very calm in the afternoon, providing the best shots for lovers of good photography.
The next what we will see will be the 1200-meter-long Jaz Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Budva. After Jaz, guests will see the sandy Blue Laguna Trsteno and the last one on that side of the Bay of Budva is the popular Ploce Beach, at which end is located the lighthouse. This is the Platamuni Cape, the beginning of the Platamuni Park of Nature. The ride up to this point lasts 30 minutes (3.5 nautical miles).
The protection of this region since 2021, which covers about a thousand hectares, provides conditions for the survival and long-term protection of a large number of animal and plant species, as well as their habitats. In a few minutes of easy drive, you will see a small white Orthodox church of Saint Nicholas (1.5m x 2.5m) that can fit a maximum of 3 people (3,75 square meters). This is one the smallest church in Montenegro, and one the smallest in the world. Its position on the 20-meter-high cliff makes the whole scene unbeatable.
According to tradition, the church was built by an unknown Greek, after he escaped from a storm at sea and found salvation on those cliffs. The original church crashed in the earthquake in 1979. The new church was rebuilt in 2003. In less than 10 minutes of the boat ride, we will be close to our final destination, the cave "Velika Krekavica". It is difficult to pronounce, so we can call it The Small Blue Cave because part of the cave has cobalt blue water.
The cave is 35 meters deep, with colorful walls, and is popular for underwater photography enthusiasts. Here we will take a break to swim and wait for the sunset. The photos you will take will be fantastic because there will be nothing in front of you while the sun dipping into the sea. This part of the coast between Budva and Kotor is the least visited by tourists and is rarely crowded even in the peak season.
Although the cave is our final destination because the sea is calm and there are no sea currents, guests can, if they wish, watch the sunset from the cliff where the church of St. Nicholas is located. Alternatively, they can go to Krekavica Beach right next to the cave. This option is only possible if we go on smaller boats (up to 12 people on one boat).
Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the sunset as you relax with a glass of wine, soothing music, and a refreshing swim. Experience the breathtaking moment when the sun dips into the sea, followed by a leisurely return journey, taking in the stunning red and orange hues of the Platamuni cliffs.
NOTE: In the case of large waves, or stormy or windy weather, the tour will be canceled and the ticket prices refunded free of charge.
TOUR CONDITIONS
The tour is organized by middle-class speed boats. The price of the private tour is per boat, not per person. The private tour costs 150 euros (for a maximum of 4 people), 180 euros (for a maximum of 6 people), and 250 euros (for a maximum of 11 people)
We give a discount for groups of more than 12 people.

Be aware that in the summer season, the sun can be very intense, so take care of your skin and health. During the boat ride, it is not recommended to walk on the boat. Boats are fully protected for a safe ride, according to the law. All skippers are licensed.
INTRODUCTION Montenegro Hostel Travel Agency (hereinafter called 'the Agency'), guarantees the authenticity of the displayed visual and written data related to the accommodation unit characteristics in its offer available at www.montenegrohostel.com as well as the authenticity of the conditions of the same offer. By taking one or more offers of the Agency the client enters a legal relationship with Montenegro Hostel Travel and confirms that he/she accepts the General Terms And Conditions of Accommodation Reservation Service (hereinafter called 'General Conditions'), which are presented here. All the details stated in the offer represent the legal obligation of the client as well as the Agency. The General Conditions represent the basis for the settlement of any possible dispute that may arise between the client and the Agency. The client is advised to read the General Conditions carefully before any advance payment.
1. BOOKING AND PAYMENT
Purchasing tickets for tours is possible electronically by completing the online form on our site. Reservations are only possible by paying the entire amount on our website before departure. After we receive the entire amount we will send you the confirmation of reservation and the voucher that consists of the details of the relevant arrangements (details of the host, guest details, date of arrival and departure, and also other services that the guest has paid). The payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Master...), (the agency bears the bank charges). By making the payment of the reservation the client certifies that he/she is completely familiarized with all the details and conditions under which the reservation of the accommodation service is provided. By making the payment all the conditions and terms specified in this contract become a legal obligation for both the client and the Agency.
2. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY CLIENT
The client is entitled to a change of a confirmed reservation only if the change is accepted by the service provider. The changes may include booked transfer, tour, excursion or activity, number of persons, their age, and type of basic or extra services booked. The request for a change of the reservation must be submitted in a written form by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
If the client wants to cancel the reservation, the client must submit the request in written form by e-mail.
Online purchased tour tickets are possible to cancel free of charge up to 3 days before departure, only in the case that the tour is still not confirmed and the money funds are only authorized, not fully charged.
If the minimum group is reached after the booking, when the customer automatically gets the online ticket and the ticket is fully charged, then the cancelation is not 100% free of charge. The cancelation fee costs 10% of the card ticket and 90% of the ticket amount will be returned to the customer's card. This cancelation is possible to do any time from the moment of booking up to 3 days before departure.
For a cancellation occurring from 3 to 0 days before the start of using the reserved service, MH Travel charges 100% of the total price of the tour ticket booked.
3. AGENCY’S OBLIGATIONS
The Agency is responsible for the transportation services and selection of the service providers and is concerned about the rights and interests of the client following good tourism practices. The Agency is responsible for ensuring that the client receives all the services he/she has booked and is therefore liable to the client for a possible non-provision of the services or a part of the services the client paid for. The Agency is not responsible if the non-provision of the service is due to a case of force majeure in the client's country or in the country where the service is to be provided (war, riots, strikes, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, official authority interventions, etc.). The Agency has the right to cancel the tour in the case of unpredictable situations, that cannot be controlled by an agency (earthquakes, floods, closing borders, etc). In that case, the Agency will refund the full amount of the transfer tickets to the guests.
Every tour has to have a minimum number of passengers (10 in total) to be organized. The agency charges booking amounts for transfers, tours, and activities ONLY after the minimum number of passengers is reached and the transfer, tour, or activity is confirmed by e-mail.
The Agency has the right to cancel transfer, tour, and activity up to 720 minutes (12 hours) before departure if the minimum of participants is not reached.
Cancellation by the Agency is free of charge.
4. CLIENT’S OBLIGATIONS
The clients are under obligation to possess valid travel documents. The costs of loss of these documents are borne by the client. The client needs to check whether he/she needs a visa to enter Montenegro or transit countries. The Agency cannot provide the service of obtaining a visa for the client and reserves the right to keep the amount paid for the transfer if the client cannot enter Montenegro because the necessary documents were not obtained by the client.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. of all the relevant facts that can affect the client's presence at the reserved transfer, tour, excursion, or activity (e.g. allergies and illness of the client, physical disability of the client, coming by vehicle, special diet conditions, and extra luggage).
5. TRAVEL INSURANCE The cost of the trip does not include the travel insurance 'package': insurance against accidents and illnesses that may occur during the trip, damage or loss of luggage, or voluntary health insurance. When confirming the reservation online, the Traveler has to accept these General Terms and Conditions by selecting a payment method and completing the reservation confirmation process. The same applies to reservations confirmed and completed via e-mail. Should the Traveler request additional insurance, arrangements can be made directly with the insurance company or at MH Travel itself wherein the Agency acts only as a mediator.
6. COMPLAINS The client reserves the right to complain in case of any incorrect photographs and information published on the site. The client is not entitled to complain about any other grounds, including bad weather conditions, traffic jams, or any other similar situation or event that may cause the client's dissatisfaction and is not to the quality of the reserved transfer service. Any justified complaint about deficiencies will be resolved on the spot. If the service provider is not able to resolve the reported deficiencies, and the Agency cannot propose any alternative transfer/shuttle, the client will get a full refund of the amount paid.
7. ARBITRATION If the guest is not satisfied with the solution offered by the agency he/she has a right to take the issue to the court jurisdiction of Podgorica.
8. NOTICE By making the advance payment or paying the entire arrangement amount the guest accepts these general terms and conditions.
