Montenegro is one of the most beautiful countries on Balkans, and one of the most beautiful countries in Europe at all. Geographical, Montenegro is pure drama. In one day you are able to see the only fjord in Mediterranean See named Boka Bay, famous city of Kotor ( UNESCO), National park Lovcen with amazing view on whole Boka Bay and almost on the whole country, Royal capital city of Cetinje, the biggest lake on Balkans named Skadar Lake, the pearl of Montenegro amazing island St. Stefan and city of Budva-the most touristic place on Montenegrin coast.

We start from Dubrovnik at 8 am. Usually we pick up the guests from the hotels reception or from the accommodation proprety where the guests are accommodated.
Start from Dubrovnik at 08:00
After we pass border crossing and enter in Montenegro we will go around the famous Boka Bay. Boka Bay is the deepest natural fjord-like bay in the Mediterranean See and conisits 4 bays: Bay of Hreceg Novi, Bay or Risan, Bay of Kotor and Bay of Tivat. On our way to Kotor we will stop to world-known city of Perast with stunning islands: Island of St. George and island Our Lady of the Rock.

We will make photo stop in Perast and go to city of Kotor. From Prast to Kotor is only 10 km of distance.

Old Town of Kotor is the most famous town on the Montenegrin coast, which is listed with UNESCO World heritage sites. The scenery around old town of Kotor ( including the steep mountains which come almost straight down to the water edge) is spectacular. We will spend one hour visiting the old town and thereafter we will go towards Lovćen National Park.

We will use old famous road built by Austria-Hungary (1879-1884).This road still serves as the only connection between Kotor and Cetinje. It climbs up with 25 serpentines, looming above the other, each with wiev a little better than the last. The road is fascinating experience and we will make minimum one photo stop on our way to Mausoleum located on Lake Peak 1650 meters high.

Lake Peak is the second highest mountain in National park Lovcen. Mausoleum introduces secession architecture, designed by the greatest Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovich. Mausoleum is entirely carved from the granite and marble stone, and contains beautiful view point from where you can see almost half of the country. Petar II Petrović Njegoš was a Montenegrin ruler and metropolitan bishop, a renowned state reformer and enlightener, a philosopher and was also the greatest Montenegrin writer ever. The Petrovich Njegosh Dynasty was the last ruling dynasty in Montenegro. Petar II also contributed greatly to the tradition of prominent poets that have called Montenegro their home. If you want to visit Mausoleum inside and famous view-point, be prepared for climb 460 stairs. After visiting Mausoleum we will go to the royal capital city of Cetinje.

Cetinje is proud of its rich cultural heritage and surrounded by traditional authentic villages with a divers animal and plant world, whose peaks reach up to 1,748 m above sea level.It scent with the architecture from 18th and 19th century that comes from rich greenery of this small city. Cetinje is the capital of Montenegro and Crnogorsko - primorska Mitropolija. During King Nikola’s reign many embassies were built that gives its today's specific look. Two of the most representative buildings are the Monasteries of Cetinje and Biljarda. Cetinje Monastery was built in 1701 and even though the Turks destroyed it several times, the people built it up again. Relics of St. Petar of Cetinje, one of the illustrious patrons of Montenegrin history, are kept there. Cetinje Monastery represents the spiritual and political center of Montenegrin people.
When the capital of Zeta fell under the Turks in 1499, Cetinje sprang up as the region’s new capital, a symbol for all of Montenegro and the Balkan states of freedom, independence.Times were never easy for Cetinje, who suffered a string of attacks and trials over the centuries. However, the local population weathered the storm well and developed a sense of how to live life to its fullest.
Many travelers today will find an abundance of good food and even more impressive architectural structures in Cetinje, including a number of international embassies from the UK, France, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, Belgium, and all points in between. After visiting Cetinje we will go to capital of Montenegro named Podgorica.

We will not enetr to the city ceter of Podgorica. We will pass by the city and go towards Skadar Lake. Lake Skadar is the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula. Located between Albania and Montenegro, Lake Skadar has an area of 362 km2; from which 213 km2 belongs to Montengro.The lake is one of the largest European bird reserves. Lake Skadar was declared national park in 1983 and was included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance in 1996.

After photo-stop on Skadar Lake we will continue to famous St. Stefn Island. St. Stefan was a fishing village founded in 15th century. 1960 the village was converted into old town, with its tower, narrow streets, shops and churches, remained unchanged. St. Stefan ( Sveti Stefan) is an unusual and unique place not only at Montenegro or Budva's Riviera but in the whole Mediterranean. It stands on the cliff of a rocky island with roofs red like rubies. A sand isthmus looking like a stem connects it with the land. It came into existence in unique way.

St. Stefan is hotel resort now and entrance to the island is limited by visitors.We will make photo-stop on St. Stefan and go straight to city of Budva.
Arrival to Budva at 18:00...Visiting Budva sightseeing 1 hour
Budva is the metropolis of Montenegrin tourisn thanks to the great number of beaches and hotels that make this a most desirable tourist destination. Apart from its natural beauty, its bay islands and beaches, Budva is rich in historic monuments. Old town of Budva is located in a small peninsula and represents a treasure chest of culture heritage. With its excellent sandy beaches, multitude of hotels and scenic walled old town Budva, including the surrounding area, it is the single most important summer resort in Montenegro. During the beginning and the end of the season Budva is very pleasant place, but in very high season is pretty crowded. The legend holds that was founded by the Theban king Cadmus while the written sources tell us about the Greek colony Buthoa already in 4th c. BC.

After visiting Budva we will go back to Dubovnik. On our way back we will not make any photo stop.
Arrival to Dubrovnik at 21:00...in very high season we will arrive up to 22:00

PRICE FOR MONTENEGRO TOUR FROM DUBROVNIK IS 55 EUROS PER PERSON.
Montenegro Tour from Dubrovnik is organized in groups. Minimum group is 4 persons. Entrance fees, breakfast and lunch are not included in price.
In total all tickets, breakfast, lunch and snack will cost you around 20-30 euros. But if you want you can use your own food and drink.
The price for the excursion includes professional driver/guide on English language.
